Tipofino is a project by Laura Meseguer and Rosa Martín. A designers retail store of typographic things, printed with different techniques on paper and clothes.

Tipofino es un proyecto de Laura Meseguer y Rosa Martín. Una tienda desde la que diseñamos objetos tipográficos, impresos con diferentes técnicas en papel y textil.

Laura Meseguer

(Barcelona, 1968)

Typographer and type designer. In 1992 she joined the group Type-Ø-Tones, beginning a period of typographic experimentation that lasted ten years. From this period are the typefaces Frankie, Cortada and Adelita. In 2003 she completed the postgraduate Type and Media at KABK, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, obtaining the degree of Master of Design in Typography with her project Rumba.

After this experience she specialized in custom lettering and type design. She teaches typography at the Eina and Elisava schools (Barcelona), author of the book on typography for editorial design TypoMag. Typography in magazines, and co author of the book Cómo diseñar tipografías. Del boceto a la pantalla published by Tipo e. Besides that Laura gives lectures and workshops on typographic design. Her most recent typefaces are Magasin, Lalola and Multi, and remains part of Type-Ø-Tones, from where she publishes and promotes all her type designs.

Diseñadora gráfica y de tipografías. En 1992 se unió al colectivo Type-Ø-Tones, iniciando una etapa de experimentación tipográfica que duró diez años. De esa época son los tipos Frankie, Cortada y Adelita. En 2003 cursó el posgrado de diseño de tipos Type and Media en la KABK, la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de La Haya, obteniendo el título de Máster en Diseño de Tipografía con su proyecto Rumba.

Tras la experiencia holandesa se especializó en rotulación y tipografía. Es profesora de tipografía en las escuelas Eina, Bau y Elisava (Barcelona), autora del libro sobre tipografía en diseño editorial TypoMag. Tipografía en las revistas, y coautora del libro Cómo diseñar tipografías. Del boceto a la pantalla publicado por Tipo e. Además, imparte conferencias y talleres sobre diseño tipográfico. Sus tipografías más recientes son Magasin, Lalola y Multi, publicadas a través de Type-Ø-Tones.

Rosa Martín Sol

(Olesa de Montserrat, 1960)

Graphic and textile designer. In 1994 she got a Master in Interactive Communication at the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona and focused her activity on UI design, initially for multimedia and later for websites.

After a few years developing this activity, while seeking for a more artistic approach to her work, she attended a Degree of artistic stamping and dyeing.

Currently she combines both disciplines and teaches the specialty of textile prints at the School of Design and Fashion Felicidad Duce.

Diseñadora gráfica y textil. Tras realizar en 1994 un máster en Comunicación interactiva en la Universitat Autònoma, centró su actividad en el diseño de entornos gráficos para multimedia inicialmente y seguidamente para web.

Tras unos años desarrollando esta actividad, y buscando un enfoque más artístico a su trabajo, cursó el Grado formativo en Estampación y tintajes artísticos.

En la actualidad combina ambas disciplinas y es profesora de la especialidad de Estampación textil en la Escuela Superior de Diseño y Moda Felicidad Duce.
